First U.S. president dies in office

(Sunday, April 4, 1841, 12:30 a.m.) — U.S. President William Henry Harrison, 68, died today of right lower lobe pneumonia, jaundice, and overwhelming septicemia. Having served only 30 days, twelve hours, and 30 minutes, he was the first United States president to die in office.
