JFK, Khrushchev meet in Vienna


(Saturday, June 3, 1961) — U.S. President John F. Kennedy and Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev held today what was described as a “frank and courteous” discussion of the troubled world relationships between the United States the Soviet Union at the U.S. Embassy in Vienna, Austria.
