Apollo 15 astronauts drive on Moon

(Saturday, July 31, 1971, 9:30 a.m. EDT) — Apollo 15 astronauts David R. Scott and James B. Irwin took a two-hour bouncing motor trip today to the brink of a lunar canyon and the dusty foot of a moon mountain. In all they spent six hours 13 minutes walking and riding over the surface, setting up experiments and rock-hunting in the lunar dust.
