(Monday, November 4, 1991) — Former U.S. President Ronald Reagan opened his presidential library today in Simi Valley, California, and invited the world to “come and learn from it.”
Reagan was joined by President George H.W. Bush and their three predecessors (Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford and Richard Nixon) in the first ever gathering ever of five U.S. chief executives.
Six First Ladies also attended: Lady Bird Johnson, Pat Nixon, Betty Ford, Rosalynn Carter, Nancy Reagan, and Barbara Bush.
