(Monday, March 29, 1993, 8:00 p.m. EST) — Unforgiven won four Oscars tonight at the 65th Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Clint Eastwood for Best Director. Al Pacino won Best Actor for Scent of a Woman and Emma Thompson won Best Actress for Howards End.

The ceremonies were held at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles with Billy Crystal as host.
