The Beatles record open-end interview to promote ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ 50 years ago this morning (July 11 1964)

(Saturday, July 11, 1964, morning BST)Back in London from last night’s northern premiere of A Hard Day’s Night, three of the four Beatles (John Lennon was absent) recorded an open-end interview this morning to be sent to radio stations in the U.S. to promote local showings of the band’s first feature film.

(Wednesday, July 11, 1804, shortly after 7 a.m. local time) — U.S. Vice President Aaron Burr mortally wounded former Treasury Secretary Alexander Hamilton during a pistol duel this morning in Weehawken, New Jersey. Hamilton was carried to the home of William Bayard on the Manhattan shore, where he died at 2:00 p.m. the next day.
