(Saturday, November 2, 1974) — George Harrison launched his 45-show “George Harrison & Friends North American Tour” tonight at Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia, in support of his new single “Dark Horse,” the title track of his new album, and Dark Horse Records. It was his first tour since the Beatles North American Tour of 1966 and the first North American tour by any former Beatle.

Directed by Roland Joffé, the film starred Sam Waterston, Haing S. Ngor, Craig T. Nelson, John Malkovich and Athol Fugard.
