‘Twice in a Lifetime’ premieres at Toronto Film Festival 30 years ago today (Sep 9 1985)

(Monday, September 9, 1985)Twice in a Lifetime, a film about a middle-aged steelworker who is content with his job and his family, but feels that something is missing in his life, premiered today at the Toronto Film Festival.

Directed by Bud Yorkin, the film starred Gene Hackman, Ann-Margret, Ellen Burstyn, Amy Madigan, Ally Sheedy and Brian Dennehy.

Paul McCartney composed the theme song to the film, heard over the end credits.
