Video: 'Beatles at the Palace'

(Tuesday, October 26, 1965, 10:00 a.m. GMT) — 4,000 fans greeted The Beatles today as they were chauffeured (in John Lennon’s black Rolls Royce) into Buckingham Palace in London to collect their MBEs (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) from Queen Elizabeth II “for a significant achievement or outstanding service to the community.”
