(Saturday, April 24, 1976) — Wings at the Speed of Sound by Paul McCartney’s band Wings peaked at #1 on today’s Billboard 200 albums chart for seven non-consecutive weeks (Apr. 24, May 29, June 19/26, July 3/10/17, 1976).

It was McCartney’s fifth of seven number one albums on the chart since The Beatles broke up in 1970 (1970-1982).
