(Saturday, February 5, 1977) — Former Beatle Ringo Starr began recording his six studio album Ringo the 4th today at Cherokee Studios in Los Angeles.

The first songs recorded were two unreleased tracks, “Lover Please” and “Wild Shining Stars.”

Sessions would continue through June.
