(Friday, February 10, 1967, 8:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m. GMT) — Forty musicians were hired tonight to complete orchestral overdubs for The Beatles’ “A Day In The Life” at EMI Studio in London .

The entire session was filmed, featuring appearances by Mick Jagger, Marianne Faithfull, Keith Richards, Donovan, Michael Nesmith of The Monkees, and Simon and Marijke of design company The Fool.

The track would be completed Feb. 22, 1967.
