(Saturday, May 21, 1927, 10:22 p.m. CEST) — American aviator Charles Lindbergh, 25, landed his Spirit of St. Louis monoplane tonight at Le Bourget Airport near Paris, completing the first solo airplane flight across the Atlantic Ocean, 33 1/2 hours after taking off from Roosevelt Field in New York.
