(Sunday, June 25, 1967, 9:36 p.m. BST) — The English rock band The Beatles recorded vocals, bass guitar, guitar solo, drums and 13-piece orchestra live for their new song “All You Need Is Love” over a pre-recorded backing track tonight inside EMI Studio 1 in London for Britain’s contribution to Our World, the first-ever live international telecast which was carried by satellite from 14 countries.
