(Friday, August 25, 1967, 8:30 p.m. PDT) — The Doors appeared on tonight’s edition of Malibu U on KABC-TV in Los Angeles, lip syncing to “Light My Fire” on an antique fire engine at Leo Carrillo State Park in Malibu (lead singer Jim Morrison was filmed separately atop the 9000 Building in West Hollywood; the exact filming dates are currently unknown, but are believed to be some time from late July to early August 1967).
