Video: 'Glimpses of Isadora Duncan of Film'

(Wednesday, September 14, 1927, at about 10:00 p.m. CEST) — Modern dance pioneer Isadora Duncan tonight met a tragic death in Nice, France, when her scarf became entangled in a wheel of the sports car she was riding in.

Duncan, aged 49 or 50, was reportedly hurled in an extraordinary manner from an open automobile in which she was riding and instantly killed by the force of her fall to the stone pavement.
