(Sunday, October 13, 1957, 8:00 p.m.-8:58 p.m. EDT) — The Edsel Show, an hour-long television special to promote Ford Motor Company’s new, ill-fated Edsel cars, was broadcast live tonight on CBS, starring Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and Rosemary Clooney.

The Edsel Show was the first television entertainment special to use videotape technology to delay the broadcast to the West Coast.
