(Sunday, January 15, 1978, at approximately 2:45-3:00 a.m. EST) — Serial killer Ted Bundy, having escaped from a jail in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, on Dec. 30, 1977, entered Florida State University’s Chi Omega sorority house early this morning in Tallahassee, Florida, and brutally murdered two students: Margaret Bowman, 21, and Lisa Levy, 20.

Bundy also assaulted Kathy Kleiner and Karen Chandler, but they both survived.

After leaving the sorority house, Bundy broke into a basement apartment eight blocks away and attacked FSU student Cheryl Thomas, who also survived.
