(Monday, January 22, 1968) — George Harrison of The Beatles produced five takes of “In the First Place,” a psychedelic pop song by The Remo Four with Tony Ashton singing, today at EMI Studios in London while producing/recording the soundtrack for the film Wonderwall.

The track remained unreleased for 31 years when director Joe Massot created a new cut of the film, asking Harrison for access to additional session material, including the song (which Massot used in the opening titles in his new cut of the film).
