“It’s not just one person, it’s an entire operation,” Mrs. Clinton contended in an interview on the NBC television program Today, offering the first lengthy remarks from either of the Clintons in denial of accusations that the President had had an affair with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky and had then sought to have Lewinsky lie about it.
