(Wednesday, January 31, 1968) — George Harrison completed recording Wonderwall Music, the soundtrack to the film Wonderwall and the first solo album by a member of The Beatles, today at EMI Studios (now Abbey Road Studios) in London.

The album would be mixed on Feb. 1 and Feb. 2, 1968, for release on May 17, 1968 (the film) and Nov. 1, 1968 (the album).

The tracks were all instrumental pieces, except for occasional non-English vocals, and mostly comprise short musical vignettes.

Harrison served as producer, writer and arranger and performed (uncredited) piano and guitar.
