(Sunday, February 4, 1968, 2:30-5:30 p.m./8:00 p.m.-2:00 a.m. GMT) — The Beatles continued to work on John Lennon’s song “Across The Universe” during two sessions today at EMI Studio 3, recording takes four through seven, then adding overdubs onto take seven.

During the evening session, Paul McCartney invited two teenage girls, 16-year-old Lizzie Bravo and 17-year-old Gayleen Pease, from outside the studio to sing on the track.
