Video: 'Paul McCartney/Heather Mills divorce settled.'

(Monday, March 17, 2008) — A judge awarded Heather Mills, the estranged wife of Paul McCartney, £24.3 million ($48.6 million) today in London in her divorce proceedings with the former Beatle.

In an 11-minute statement to reporters outside the High Court after the verdict, Mills said she was pleased that the bitter divorce hearings had ended.

McCartney and Mills married in 2002 after meeting at a charity event.

The divorce was granted on May 12, 2008, and the preliminary divorce decree was finalized six weeks later.
