Kennedy, campaigning for the Oregon’s May 28, 1968, Democratic presidential primary, took about a half-hour out from his busy schedule today to ice skate on an outdoor rink at Portland’s Lloyd Center, billed as the world’s largest shopping center.

Skating hand in hand with his wife Ethel, Kennedy circled the rink, then was joined by Senator John Glenn of Ohio and about a dozen children.
