(Saturday, November 30, 1968) — George Harrison taped his contribution today (with the help of Tiny Tim) to The Beatles’ 1968 Christmas Record, an annual holiday musical/spoken performance by The Beatles for members of their fan club, at the New York apartment of Nat Weiss, the former business partner of the group’s late manager, Brian Epstein.

John Lennon had recorded his contribution two days before in London. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr also recorded their contributions around this time.

The first Beatles Christmas fan-club disc to be recorded separately (edited together by DJ and friend of the Beatles, Kenny Everett), The Beatles’ 1968 Christmas Record would be mailed out to fans in the UK on Dec. 20, 1968.
