(Wednesday, December 11, 1968, late evening BST)The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus, a concert show organized by the Rolling Stones was filmed today on a makeshift circus stage with Jethro Tull, The Who, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithfull and The Rolling Stones.

John Lennon of The Beatles and his girlfriend, Yoko Ono, also performed “Yer Blues” and “Whole Lotta Yoko” as part of a one-shot supergroup called The Dirty Mac, featuring Eric Clapton, Mitch Mitchell, and Keith Richards.

Directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg, the show was meant to be aired on the BBC, but was not released until 1996.
