(Saturday, December 14, 1968) — The Beatles, a double album by the English rock band The Beatles, better known as “The White Album” because it featured a plain white sleeve with no graphics or text other than the band’s name embossed, debuted at #11 on today’s Billboard Top LP’s chart.

It was the group’s 21st appearance on the chart since Feb. 1, 1964.
