(Monday, March 31, 1969) — 19 days after their home was raided for drugs by the infamous Sgt. Norman Pilcher, George Harrison of The Beatles and his wife, Pattie, pleaded guilty to possessing the cannabis today at a hearing at Esher and Walton Magistrates’ Court.

The Harrisons were each fined £250 plus 10 guineas each in court costs, and were put on probation for a year.
