(Monday, March 31, 1969) — Having completed the seven-day bed-in at the Amsterdam Hilton today, John Lennon of The Beatles and his new wife, Yoko Ono, flew to Vienna to hold a press conference at the Hotel Sacher.

The couple spoke from within a large white bag, introducing reporters to the concept of bagism, a satire of prejudice, where by living in a bag a person could not be judged on their bodily appearance.
