(Tuesday, March 1, 1932) — The body of Charles Lindbergh Jr., the 20-month-old son of Charles A. Lindbergh, pilot of the world’s first non-stop transatlantic flight, was found today in a wooded area near Hopewell, N.J. The cause of death was a massive skull fracture.

The young Lindbergh was kidnapped March 1, 1932, from his crib in the nursery on the second floor of his parents’ home at Hopewell, near Princeton, N.J.
