(Thursday, December 5, 2002) — Frodo and Samwise press on toward Mordor while Aragorn, drawing closer to his kingly destiny, rallies forces of good for the battles that must come in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, the second film in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, which premiered today in New York City.

Directed by Peter Jackson, the film stars Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Sean Astin, Viggo Mortensen, Andy Serkis, Liv Tyler, Cate Blanchett,John Rhys-Davies, Orlando Bloom, Bernard Hill, Christopher Lee, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan, Hugo Weaving, Miranda Otto, Karl Urban, David Wenham, Brad Dourif, Sala Baker and Sean Bean.
