Four songs from the concert (Drive My Car, Looking For Changes, C’mon People and Kansas City) would be featured on the official tour video Paul Is Live – The New World Tour and CD Paul is Live, released Nov. 15, 1993.

(Thursday, May 30, 2003)Finding Nemo, a computer-animated comedy-drama adventure family film about a timid clownfish that sets out on a journey to bring his son home after he’s captured in the Great Barrier Reef and taken to Sydney, premiered today in the U.S. and Canada.

Directed by Andrew Stanton, the film stars Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres and Alexander Gould.

U.S. forces secure Aleutian island of Attu from Japanese forces 70 years ago today (1943)

(Sunday, May 30, 1943, Memorial Day; during Battle of Attu, part of the Aleutian Islands Campaign, in the Pacific Theater of World War II) — American troops secured the Aleutian island of Attu today from Japanese forces led by Colonel Yasuyo Yamasaki. It was the only land battle of World War II fought on territory that was part of the incorporated territory of the U.S.
