(Wednesday, May 12, 1971) — Former Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr flew in a specially chartered plane to Saint-Tropez, France, today to attend the Roman Catholic wedding ceremony of Rolling Stone lead singer Mick Jagger, 27, and Bianca Perez Morena de Macias, 26, at St. Anne Chapel.

Later, both Paul and Ringo, with respective partners, attended the reception which was held at the nearby Cafe Des Arts, and continued until 4:00 a.m.

Guests included other members of the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and Stephen Stills.

This was the first time that Paul and Ringo had socialized since the split of The Beatles over a year ago. The other two Beatles, John Lennon and George Harrison, were invited but did not attend.
