‘It Don’t Come Easy’ by Ringo Starr peaks at #4 in USA 50 years ago #OnThisDay #OTD (Jun 5 1971)

(Saturday, June 5, 1971) — “It Don’t Come Easy” by former Beatle Ringo Starr peaked at #4 on today’s Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for two weeks.

It was Starr’s first rock single since The Beatles broke-up in 1970. The track was produced by George Harrison, Starr’s former Beatles bandmate, who also helped write the song, although only Starr is credited.
