(Thursday, August 1, 1963, 1:30-4:00 p.m. British Summer Time) — The Beatles taped episode 11 of the BBC Light Programme Pop Go The Beatles today at Playhouse Theatre in London.

The rock music band from Liverpool arrived at 12:00 noon for a rehearsal and then taped Program 11 between 1:30 and 4:00 p.m. BST (they would also tape Program 12 on this day, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. BST).

In this eleventh show the Beatles performed “Ohh! My Soul,” “Don’t Ever Change,” “Twist and Shout,” “She Loves You” (their next single, due for release on Aug. 23, 1963, “Anna (Go to Him),” and “A Shot of Rhythm and Blues” for broadcast on August 27, 1963, at 5:00 p.m.
