(Thursday, August 1, 1963, 4:00-6:00 p.m. British Summer Time) — Immediately following the taping of episode 11 of the BBC Light Programme Pop Go The Beatles, The Beatles began recording episode 12 today at Playhouse Theatre in London.

The rock music band from Liverpool performed “Lucille”, “From Me To You”, “I’ll Get You,” “Money (That’s What I Want),” “Baby It’s You,” “There’s a Place,” “Honey Don’t” (John Lennon singing lead vocal), and “Roll Over Beethoven” for broadcast on Sept. 3, 1963, at 5:00 p.m. (“Lucille” and “Baby It’s You” were not used in the final program).
