(Tuesday September 3, 1963, 2:00-4:30 p.m. British Summer Time) — The Beatles began recording the first of the final three episodes of the BBC Light Programme Pop Go The Beatles today at Studio 2, Aeolian Hall in London.

For episode 13, the rock music group from Liverpool, England, recorded “Too Much Monkey Business,” “Till There Was You,” “Love Me Do,” “She Loves You” (this recording was also featured in episode 15), “I’ll Get You” and “The Hippy Hippy Shake” for broadcast on Sept. 10, 1963, at 5:00 p.m. (“A Taste of Honey,” recorded on this day between 5:00-7:30 p.m., was inserted into this show).
