(Saturday, August 4, 1973) — Former Beatle John Lennon recorded “Rock and Roll People” today at Record Plant Studios in New York during the sessions (which began in July) for his next album Mind Games.

Lennon did not include it on the new album and gave it to Johnny Winter for his John Dawson Winter III album. Lennon’s version wasn’t released until 1986’s posthumous Menlove Ave. album.
