(Sunday, December 15, 1963, afternoon GMT) — The Beatles performed four numbers this afternoon for ABC’s Thank Your Lucky Stars British television pop music series at Alpha Television (ATV) Studios in Birmingham for airing on Dec. 21, 1963, at 5:50 p.m. GMT.

The rock band from Liverpool mimed to “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” “All My Loving,” “Twist and Shout,” and “She Loves You.”

The group was also presented, on camera, with two more gold discs to add to their quickly growing collection.

Despite the snowstorm outside, several hundred fans waited outside to catch a glimpse of the group.

This was the second edition of Thank Your Lucky Stars to solely feature acts from Liverpool. The first had been recorded on June 23, 1963.
