(Friday, March 29, 1974, afternoon PDT) — John Lennon and Paul McCartney, formerly of The Beatles and the most successful songwriting partnership in history, were photographed together for the last time today at the Louis B. Meyer/Peter Lawford house Harry Nilsson was living at 625 Pacific Coast Highway Palisades Beach Rd in Santa Monica, California.

Former Beatle Ringo Starr was also present on this day, leaving George Harrison was the only absent Beatle.

The House was owned by RCA and loaned to Harry Nilsson as part of a recording contract (Lennon was producing Nilsson’s album Pussy Cats at the time).

It had formerly been owned by Peter Lawford and was the house where JFK allegedly had his trysts with Marilyn Monroe.

Lennon and McCartney would see each other periodically through the next few years (their last known face to face meeting was on Apr. 24, 1976) and stayed in contact up to Lennon’s 1980 assassination.
