(Thursday, September 24, 1964, 11:00 a.m. EDT) — U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson received from the hands of Chief Justice Earl Warren today a presentation copy of the Warren Commission‘s report on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The report itself would not be released to the public until Sunday, Sept. 27, 1964, at 6:30 p.m. EDT.
