Video: 'Zorba the Greek' trailer

(Monday, December 14, 1964) — Zorba the Greek, a drama film about an amoral Greek peasant who teaches a British student the meaning of life, was released today in Greece (it opened in New York and Los Angeles on Dec. 17, 1964).

Directed by Michael Cacoyannis, the film starred Anthony Quinn, Alan Bates, Irene Papas, Lila Kedrova, Sotiris Moustakas and Anna Kyriakou.
