Video: 'How The Beatles Met Alan Ginsberg'

(Thursday, June 3, 1965) — John Lennon and George Harrison of The Beatles attended beat poet Allen Ginsberg’s 39th birthday party at a basement flat in London’s Chester Square.

When the two Beatles and their female partners entered the flat, Ginsberg was drunk and wearing nothing but a sign on his penis saying “Do not disturb.” The new arrivals didn’t stay for long.
