(Thursday, June 24, 1965)Cat Ballou, a comedy Western film about a prim schoolteacher who turns outlaw queen when the railroad steals her land, opened today at the Trans-Lux 52d Street and the Victoria theaters in New York City.

Directed by Elliot Silverstein, the film starred Jane Fonda, Lee Marvin, Michael Callan, Dwayne Hickman, Nat King Cole (who died four months before the film was released) and Stubby Kaye.
