James Bond film ‘GoldenEye’ premieres in New York 20 years ago tonight (Nov 13 1995)

(Monday, November 13, 1995)GoldenEye, the seventeenth spy film in the James Bond series and the first to star Pierce Brosnan as the fictional MI6 officer James Bond, premiered tonight at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

In the film, Bond teams up with the lone survivor of a destroyed Russian research center to stop the hijacking of a nuclear space weapon by a fellow agent formerly believed to be dead.

Directed by Martin Campbell, it also starred Sean Bean, Izabella Scorupco, Famke Janssen and Joe Don Baker.
