(Monday, April 11, 1966) — The Beach Boys today completed recording “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” and “God Only Knows” at Columbia studio in Hollywood for release on the Pet Sounds album on May 16, 1966.

“God Only Knows” was voted 25 in Rolling Stone magazine’s “500 Greatest Songs of All Time.”
