(Thursday, September 30, 1976, 12:15 p.m. EDT)The Front, a comedy-drama film set against the Hollywood blacklist in the 1950s, opened today at the Coronet Theater in New York City.

Directed by Martin Ritt, the film starred Woody Allen, Zero Mostel, Michael Murphy, Herschel Bernardi, Andrea Marcovicci, Remak Ramsay and Lloyd Gough.
