(Saturday, May 1, 1971) — “It Don’t Come Easy” by former Beatle Ringo Starr debuted today on Billboard‘s Hot 100 singles chart at #49.

It was Starr’s first rock single since The Beatles broke-up in 1970. The track was produced by George Harrison, Starr’s former Beatles bandmate, who also helped write the song, although only Starr is credited.
