(Monday, April 3, 1967, 7:30 p.m.-3:00 a.m. BST) — Eight violins and three cellos were recorded, after which George Harrison (the only member of The Beatles in attendance) overdubbed his lead vocals as well as some extra sitar, to the track “Within You Without You” today at EMI Studio 1 in London during the band’s sessions for the album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
