(Tuesday, April 11, 1967) — Two Democratic Senators, Joseph S. Clark of Pennsylvania and Robert F. Kennedy of New York, investigating reports of extreme poverty and starvation in the Mississippi Delta saw evidence today of extreme deprivation and malnutrition, if not the starvation they heard about in hearings the previous day.
